Accessibility statement

At Newil&Bau we want to make purchasing an N&B Home easy for everybody. That's why our website is designed and developed to be accessible.

Accessibility Statement

This is the accessibility statement for Newil&Bau’s website, newilbau.fi, created on June 1, 2025, and updated on June 23, 2025.

In this statement, we explain the accessibility of our digital services, any known accessibility issues, and how you can provide feedback if you encounter any accessibility-related concerns on our website.

The website largely meets accessibility requirements

The newilbau.fi website is subject to the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019), which requires compliance with the accessibility criteria at levels A and AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). This service largely meets these requirements.

The accessibility of the website has been evaluated by professionals responsible for Newil&Bau's digital services. All critical issues found have been fixed. We also use automated accessibility testing during site updates.

Content or sections that are not fully accessible

Some parts of the website do not yet fully comply with the accessibility requirements. Known accessibility issues are listed below:

  1. (WCAG 1.3.1) Some attached files, such as old RS materials for previously completed development projects, contain issues that hinder screen reader usability (e.g., missing document structure or incomplete heading hierarchy). These materials can be reviewed with a sales representative in person or over the phone if needed.
  2. (WCAG 3.1.1) Some pages contain content in a language different from the page's defined language because certain content is still being translated. Examples include sustainability and recycling guides currently available only in Finnish.
  3. (WCAG 3.2.4) Some links on the website open in a new tab or lead to a PDF file without prior warning. These links typically provide additional information for the user.
  4. (WCAG 1.4.1) On some pages, links within text or elements resembling buttons are indicated only by color and subtle bolding, which does not provide sufficient visual cues for all users. This may cause difficulties especially for users with color vision deficiencies or those using screen readers. We are aware of this issue and are working to improve the visual distinction on the site so that links and actions can always be recognized through means other than color alone.
  5. (WCAG 4.1.2) Some interactive elements on the site (e.g., menu buttons or tabs) lack technical descriptions for assistive technologies. These may be missing attributes that inform users of the element’s current state.
  6. Customers who have reserved or purchased an apartment can personalize their home’s interior and materials using our digital tool, N&B Studio. The tool is accessible to visually impaired users, but the experience can be challenging due to the highly visual nature of some personalization options. We offer all customers the option to personalize their home together with our sales team either in person or over the phone. This support includes assistance with exploring available options and making selections. For visually impaired users, we particularly recommend this supported approach, as it also allows for tactile exploration of materials and better understanding of the future home’s usability. In such cases, please contact our customer service to schedule a personalization session.
