People Lead

Are you a driven and experienced people development professional who:

🔧 enjoys developing company culture and building new processes?

🏎 thrives in a dynamic, rapidly growing business environment?

🤝 genuinely believes that the most successful teams operate based on freedom and responsibility as guiding principles?

If you responded YES three times, keep reading because this position might be for you!

🔎 We are looking for a People Lead with a passion for building modern, value-based talent management and people development practices in an ambitious yet caring company, which has been listed by the Financial Times as Europe’s second fastest growing apartment developer in 2022. In this new role, you get to use your vision and skills in building and developing people-centric and culturally fitting HR processes. Your main goal is to enable Newil & Bau’s growth journey from people perspective, and you will join Newil & Bau’s management team and report to the CEO of the company.

Newil & Bau firmly believes that responsibility and freedom are the key success makers behind any great team, and these principles are strongly embedded in the way Newil & Bau operates. The team wants to challenge the common way of doing things by doing things their own way – and uncommonly well – and to focus on long-term profits over short-term. Even though the team consists of goal-oriented people who aim high, they also believe that working should be fun, and you will have a central role in cultivating and developing their culture!

👭 As a People Lead, you will support Newil & Bau’s growth journey by:

  • Designing and driving Newil & Bau’s culture development and performance management practices, including ongoing feedback and dialogue between the team leads and team members;
  • Building and running a training and development framework in areas such as culture, leadership skills and compliance;
  • Taking ownership of the recruitment and on-boarding processes as well as people and talent management practices;
  • Boosting Newil & Bau’s internal talent management practices including e.g. strategic organizational planning, employer branding, talent identification, career path planning and personal growth.

An ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in building and developing versatile personnel-related processes, preferably from a position where you have carried independent responsibility over creating culturally fitting HR-solutions. Ideally, this is not the first time you embark on a growth journey: we consider a plus if you have worked for a start-up or a growth company, preferably in an international setting. You have a suitable educational background and communicate fluently in both Finnish and English. You have a people-centric and hands-on attitude towards work and are a team-player by heart.

🎁 Newil & Bau offers you:

  • A management team role in the heart of a rapidly growing company that is passionate about re-thinking the way people live;
  • Space to use your own vision and to assume overall responsibility for personnel related matters and processes at Newil & Bau;
  • Back-up support by a dedicated and highly motivated management team;
  • Along with a competitive salary and benefits, you will also be eligible for Newil and Bau’s stock option plan.
